When you move to a new country, the last thing you want is to spend your first week chasing a router manual through Google Translate. We’ve built our entire process around making sure that never happens to our customers.

Who we are

Wave is a Pomeranian internet provider based in Gdynia for over 20 years, serving customers across the region for over a decade. We run our own wireless radio network – which means fast installation, flexible contracts, and no dependency on overloaded cable infrastructure. We cover Gdynia, Gdańsk, Rumia, Reda, Wejherowo, Puck, Koleczkowo, Bojano, Banino, Kościerzyna, Bytów, Sierakowice, and the wider Kashubian area. We’re 50 people. Not a call centre in Warsaw. Not a chatbot. A team you can actually reach – and who speak your language.

English support – what that actually means

We know „English support available” can mean a lot of things. Here’s what it means at Wave:

  • English-speaking account manager assigned to you from day one
  • Installation technicians who speak English on-site
  • Contract walkthrough in English – no guesswork
  • Ongoing technical support in English
  • You call, a person answers

When you first contact us – by email or phone – we’ll assign you one person who speaks English and is responsible for your account. They’ll handle the site visit, the paperwork, and introduce you to your installation technician. You deal with the same faces throughout.

How other providers usually handle it

We hear the same story a lot: a customer signs up with another provider, something goes wrong – a router resets during a storm, the connection drops – and they can’t get help. The operator tells them everything is fine on their end and that the customer can fix it themselves because „the menu is in English.” Days pass. Nobody comes.

One of our current customers had exactly that experience. He was struggling with a router that had reset after a power surge. Our technician happened to be installing internet nearby, noticed the situation, stepped in, reconfigured the router, and left – without charging anything. The customer had been waiting several days for his original provider. He became our customer shortly after.

Real situations we’ve helped with

A British couple looking for reliable internet – and someone they could trust (Koleczkowo)

A husband and wife from the UK had recently moved to Koleczkowo. They needed internet that actually worked, and a provider who could walk them through everything without them needing to find a translator or ask neighbours for help. We handled everything: site assessment, home network setup, and the installation itself – with an English-speaking technician on-site from start to finish. They now have someone they can call if anything needs attention.

A Danish business owner who needed fast internet from day one (Gdynia Wiczlino)

A customer from Denmark moved to Gdynia Wiczlino while running his business remotely. He needed a large, stable connection – and he needed it immediately. We had him online quickly, so he could work from the moment he arrived. When his antenna was damaged later, his assigned technician came out ahead of the normal queue – because business customers are a priority for us, and losing a work connection isn’t something that can wait.

Starlink installation for a customer from the UK (Gdańsk city centre)

Not everything we do is strictly „internet provider” work – and we’re fine with that. A customer from the UK needed a Starlink installation in central Gdańsk. We handled it. Sometimes people just need someone competent nearby who speaks English and will show up. That’s us.

Beyond internet – technical help you can actually ask for

We get asked for help with things that aren’t strictly „internet” quite often. If you’ve just moved in and your home network is a mess, or you want to set up monitoring cameras for your property, or you’re thinking about smart home systems – we’re happy to talk through what’s possible.

  • Home network configuration & Wi-Fi
  • Security cameras & monitoring
  • Smart home systems
  • Solar panels & heat pumps
  • General technical questions

We won’t always have the answer, but we’ll tell you honestly what we can help with – and point you in the right direction if we can’t.

QA Section

Installation – how long does installation takes?

Usually between 1.5 and 3 hours. Our technician handles everything: going up to the roof, mounting the antenna, running the cable, and configuring your router. We also clean up before we leave.

When can you install?

Monday to Friday, at a time that suits you. If there’s availability in our schedule, we can often install the next day. Get in touch and we’ll check what’s possible.

Where exactly does the antenna go?

We mount it at the highest accessible point of the building – usually the chimney or a roof rafter. Our technician reaches the roof via a roof hatch or ladder. We use two methods depending on your building:

  • Non-invasive – chimney clamp (additional cost: 50 PLN)
  • Invasive – bracket drilled or screwed into the chimney or rafter

The technician will assess your roof on the day and recommend the best option.

Will anything need to be drilled?

Possibly, yes – depending on how the cable needs to be routed into your home. If drilling is needed, the hole is approximately 10mm in diameter. The technician will always discuss the route with you first.

How does the cable get inside the house?

We route the cable through a ventilation shaft where possible, or via another path you agree with the technician. We hide cable on the roof and in the shaft – finishing with cable trunking or a cover inside the home is on the customer’s side, as it depends on your interior preferences.

What should I prepare before the technician arrives?

Three things help us move faster:

  • Decide where you want the router placed
  • Make sure there are two free power sockets near that spot
  • Clear access to the roof hatch if you have one

If your home already has internal network cabling installed, let us know – we can connect to it so you have internet throughout the house.

I have internal network cabling already but it’s not finished – will the technician sort it out?

Per our standard agreement, the technician brings the connection to the first access point. If you need more than that – additional devices, extending to existing cabling – just let us know in advance and we’ll arrange the right scope of work.

What happens if something breaks or stops working?

You contact us – by phone or email – and a real person picks up. We diagnose remotely first, and if a visit is needed, we send a technician. Business customers are prioritised – we know a broken connection during working hours isn’t something that can wait.

Can I ask for help with things that aren’t strictly internet problems?

Yes – and we get asked this often. Home network setup, Wi-Fi coverage, router configuration, monitoring cameras, smart home systems – if it’s technical and you’re not sure who to ask, try us. We’ll tell you honestly what we can help with.

Who will I be dealing with? Is there one person I can always contact?

Yes. From your first enquiry, we assign you one English-speaking account manager who coordinates everything – the site visit, the contract, and the introduction to your technician. You’re not passed between departments.

Do your technicians speak English on-site?

Yes. The technicians who work with international customers speak English. They’ll walk you through exactly what they’re doing, where they’re putting things, and answer any questions during the installation.

Where does Wave cover?

Our wireless network covers a large part of Pomerania: Gdańsk, Gdynia, Rumia, Reda, Wejherowo, Puck, Koleczkowo, Bojano, Banino, Kościerzyna, Bytów, Sierakowice, and surrounding areas. Not sure if we reach your address? Drop us a message with your location and we’ll check – it takes a few minutes.

Is fibre available?

Fibre (FTTH) is available in selected parts of Gdynia. For most locations in our coverage area, we provide wireless radio internet – which is fast, reliable, and available much more quickly than waiting for fibre infrastructure. Check the coverage map on our website or ask us directly for your address.
